Announcements
Ø Final Exam:
o The in-class part (35% of the course
grade): this
will be on Tuesday, April 10 at 9am-noon, in 405 Allen. It will cover Chapters 1-3 and
will require a good understanding of the concepts covered in the notes as well
as in the homework assignments (1-4). The
exam will be closed book/notes, but you will be permitted to have one two-sided
8.5 by 11 inch sheet of notes as well
as the (provided) list of vectors identities
to aid you.
o The take-home part (15% of the
course grade): due on the last day of classes
(Thursday, April 5.)
Ø Homework 4 is due on Wednesday, March 21.
Ø The
midterm exam will be on Wednesday, February 29, 6:00-8:00 pm, in 402 Allen. The
midterm will cover Chapters 1-2 and will require a good understanding of the
concepts covered in the notes as well as in the
homework assignments (1-3). The exam will be closed book/notes, but you
will be permitted to have one 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of notes as well as this list of vectors identities to aid you.
Ø Homework 3 is due on Thursday, February 23.
Ø Homework 2 is due on Monday, February 6.
Ø Homework 1 is due on Friday, January 27.
